World's Best Hotels

Forbes Travellers, has picked 400 new best hotels worldwide, and that includes:

Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur

Literally in the shadow of Kuala Lumpur's premier office space (not to mention the city's symbol and biggest tourist attraction), the 88-story twin Petronas Towers, the Mandarin Oriental offers excellent accommodations, several of the city's top restaurants and simply the best location in the capital. Designed throughout to reflect both traditional and modern Malaysia, the hotel is adjacent to the towers, overlooks the 50-acre KLCC park and sits just a short walk from the city's convention center, principal concert hall and finest shopping. When you return to your room, this 30-story high-rise offers some of the best views in the city.

The Datai Langkawi

The Datai isn’t the only five-star resort on the island of Langkawi--the up-and-coming destination off the west coast of Malaysia--but for its one-of-a-kind location and superior service, the 15-year-old hotel is the best of them, hands down. Hidden away in virgin rain forest, the resort's main focus is the natural world; the walk to the beach, five minutes away, is along tree-lined paths surrounded by birds and monkeys--an unspoiled stretch of property that leads to a white-sand crescent bay on the crystal waters of the Andaman Sea.

While the prestigious Conde Nast Traveller "Hot List 2009" also publishes the 70 top new hotels operating around the world and this hotel made through into the list:

The Club at The Saujana
Tucked away in lush tropical gardens, The Club at The Saujana in Kuala Lumpur creates the perfect ambiance for comfort and relaxation.

This boutique resort’s 105 elegant rooms and suites fuse contemporary Asian designs and distinct Malaysian cultural accents. Feel a sense of calm and tranquility while enveloped in such unique luxury.

All of the resort’s upscale features have the same relaxing effect. The spa pampers you with soothing wellness treats, and the 39-meter swimming pool refreshes and rejuvenates. The two (2) 18-hole golf courses, designed by Ronald Fream, are a golf enthusiast’s dream
